Renee E. Wettekin, 35, of Wattsburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 19, 2013. A resident of the Erie area all of her life she was born in Erie on March 17, 1978 a daughter of Charles J. and Susan A. (Staszewski) Wettekin.
Renee was a graduate of Seneca High School and went on to attend Tri State Business Institute. Renee brightened every room she entered with her beautiful smile and fun-loving personality. Renee was very creative and artistic. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, hunting and taxidermy.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Frank and Marie Wettekin.
In addition to her parents, survivors include one daughter, Cotah at home; two sons, Davyn and Coltin, both at home; one sister, Michele Wisniewski and her husband Steven of Erie; three brothers, Brian Wettekin, Matthew Wettekin and his wife Jill, and Steven Wettekin, all of Erie; her maternal grandparents, Edward and Irene Staszewski of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the family at St. Boniface Catholic Church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass there at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie, 16504.
