Clifford L.  Vaughn
Clifford L. Vaughn, 85, of Largo, FL and formerly of Erie, passed away Wednesday January 13, 2016 in Largo, FL following a lengthy illness. He was born in Erie on July 9, 1930 a son of the late John M. and Helga Stenstrom Vaughn.

Cliff graduated from Academy High School in 1948 and went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1953, during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Lyons Transportation Lines for 33 years as a Variable Gear Selection Specialist. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved racing, baseball and football.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death his daughter, Colleen Estrada and his siblings, Dorothy Nearing, John Vaughn, and Vivian Root.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Cleary Vaughn; three daughters, Charlene Vaughn and her significant other, Larry Bucklin, of Erie, Carol Davis and her husband Dean of Bosque Farms, NM and Corinne Hammerman and her husband T.J. of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren, Shawn Wagner and his wife, Jen, of Erie, Andrea Estrada of Colorado Springs, CO, Kimberly Wagner of Erie, Tony Estrada and his wife Brisa of Albuquerque, NM, Amanda Davis of Bosque Farms, NM, and Jacob Bucklin of Erie; two great granddaughters, Takira and Kim'onie; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of the memorial service there at 1:00 p.m..Burial with military honors will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital, 1645 W. 8th Erie, 16505.
