Obituary for Elaine Tuholski (Tarasovitch)

Elaine Tarasovitch Tuholski, 65, of Erie, passed away Saturday December 3, 2022 at UPMC Hamot following a brief illness. She was born in Erie on September 26, 1957 a daughter of the late Andrew Tarasovitch II and Wanda Przybylak Tarasovitch.

Elaine graduated from Academy High School and attended advanced training and work shops where she received her professional medical coding and billing status. She was a coder and biller for LECOM and Erie Retinal Surgery. She also worked for Dr. D'Angelo and as office manager for Dr. Prylinski. She also was a program director and instructor for coding and billing at Great Lakes Institute of Technology. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and enjoyed skiing in her younger days, supporting her sons at their sporting events, and karaoke. She was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Cubs and enjoyed walks on the beach and sitting on the shore watching the sun set on a cool summer evening.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Veronica Nass, and her brother, Andrew "Buddy" Tarasovitch, III.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Fred Tuholski; two sons, Steven Tuholski (Donna) of Erie and James Tuholski of Greene Twp.; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Stefanie, Katlyn, and Brooke Tuholski; one brother, Patrick Tarasovitch (Marguerite) of Greene Twp.; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and are invited to a Funeral Service there on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
