Obituary for Mary Christine "Chris" Turner (Hollan)

Mary Christine "Chris" Hollan Turner, 66, of Wattsburg, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Tuesday January 17, 2023. She was born in Jackson, KY on January 11, 1957 a daughter of the late Edward Hollan Jr. and Elvira Large Hollan.

Chris worked in the medical records department at Corry Manor for 32 years until her retirement. She enjoyed hunting, crafts, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Al "L.G." Turner; her step son, Alonzo Gene Turner; three brothers, Robert, Edward III, and Doug Hollan; her son in law, Nathan Turben; and her daughter in law, April Farler.

Survivors include one daughter, Ina Turben of Union City; one son, Christopher Farler (Carol) of Jackson, KY; three stepdaughters, Wanda Rhoades (Darrell) of Summit Twp., Cheri Howard (Wayne) of Erie, and Jill Allsbrook (Riley) of Florida; three sisters, Bonnie Combs of Jackson, KY, Barbara Fugat of Louisville, KY, and Dolly Hollan of Winchester, KY; five brothers, Charles Hollan (Connie) of Jackson, KY, John Hollan (Vickie) of Jackson, KY, Bryce Hollan of Winchester, KY, Scott Hollan (Amy) of Jackson, KY, and Ernest Hollan (Jackie) of Wooten, KY; her stepmother, Sue Hollan of Jackson, KY; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of services there at 7 p.m. Burial will take place in Jackson Cemetery in Jackson, KY.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
