Obituary for Joseph W. Brown
Joseph W. Brown, 81, of Summit Twp., passed away Wednesday March 15, 2023 following a courageous battle. He was born in Youngstown, OH on March 3, 1942 a son of the late Harry and Betty Airgood Brown.
Joe worked for GE in Buildings #6 and #2 for 38 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Siebenbuerger Club, the GE Quarter Century Club, GEER, and the Lawrence Lodge #708, F&AM. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Crawford Brown; two sons, Craig J. Brown of Erie and Kevin Brown (Jill), of Summit; two grandchildren, Eric Brown and Kellie Roesch (Ryan); and one sister, Gertrude Brown of Summit.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
