Obituary for Linda Joan Gilson (Lagana)
Linda J. Lagana Gilson, age 72, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Erie, on September 17, 1950, a daughter of the late William E. and Mary Senger Lagana.
Linda worked as a mail carrier for the United State Postal Service. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, hunting, and was an avid Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husbands, Stephen Howell, Thomas Sotter, and Lawrence Gilson; and her significant other, Gerald Lemke.
Survivors include her three daughters, Michelle Kline (Todd), of Salt Lake City, UT, Jessica Sotter (Brian), of Cambridge Springs, and Jolene Blyzwick (Derek), of Moon Township; her son, Jody Sotter (Danya), of North East; her sister, Doreen Lagana, of Erie; her brother, William Lagana (Kim), of Girard; five grandchildren, Christina May, Brittni Anderson, Samantha Sotter, Stella Blyzwick, and Maddox Blyzwick; four great-grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd, Erie, PA on Monday from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service there at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
