Obituary for Allan E. Shaw

Allan E. Shaw, 88, of Wattsburg, passed away Wednesday April 5, 2023. He was born in Erie on February 9, 1935 a son of the late Albert and Vera Meyer Shaw.

Allan worked in the tool room at FMC for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church, the UAW Retirees, and Pennbriar. He was a foster grandparent with GECAC, enjoyed classic cars and NASCAR, volunteered with Meals on Wheels, and was an avid Bible reader.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Myra Schneider; his stepson, Ed Zilinski; and his cousin, Vera Snyder.

Survivors include his wife of over 29 years, Donna Horn Allen Shaw; four daughters, Mary Taylor (Brad) of W. Springfield, Vonda Allen of Erie, Karen Allen of California; and Rebecca Farrell (Mike) of Wattsburg; two sons, Albert "Sonny" Shaw of Erie and Bob Shaw (Colleen) of Albion; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Louise Morris and Debbie Veith, both of Erie; and three cousins, Dave Snyder (Ruth) of Virginia, Dave Snyder (Heather) of Chicago, and Rachel Crumbly (Mike) and their four children of Virginia.

Friends and family may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be private in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
